Educational Programs

The River Raisin Raptor Center (RRRC)is happy to announce our partnership with the Leslie Science and Nature Center (LSNC) ! With over 10 years of raptor rehabilitation and programming experience, the RRRC is well established and ready to grow. With similar education missions and philosophies LSNC was happy and willing merge with RRRC and adopt our magnificent education program.

All of the raptors have come through the RRRC rehabilitation facility. Suffering permanent injuries and unable to survive in the wild, these non-releasable wild birds have been trained and now work to help their wild relatives by educating people about the issues facing raptors today. Some of the birds have been presenting programs for over 10 years and all are well adapted to large groups of people.

Here is a list of a few of the programs that are now offered through LSNC. For more information or to schedule a raptor program or for more information, please call (734) 997-1553 or email lsc@a2gov.org.

Night Crew

Allow our owl visitors to engage, delight and educate your students. Classification, conservation and survival techniques are but a few of the topics explored through live birds, activities, and hands-on explorations. Students will discover what it is like to be a nighttime predator. 60 min.

Silent Feathered Friends
